How Long does the procedure take?

The entire dental implant process may take several months, including healing time, but it ensures lasting results. Consequently, expect 3 to 4 office visits to complete the process.

Does Getting Dental Implants Hurt?

The procedure is typically not painful, as local anesthesia is used to numb the area. Some patients may experience mild discomfort afterward, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. For our patients that would like to be sedated in addition to having numbing local anesthesia, ReNEW Dental can provide oral and IV options for sedation.

She also utilizes diagnostics like saliva testing to address issues related to coronary heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia.

Dr. Elaine Wu graduated summa cum laude from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. She excelled in implantology, receiving an excellence award, and further specialized in this field at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Wu also completed a comprehensive 260-hour training at the Kois Center in Seattle, known for its emphasis on science-based dental advancements. Her dedication to continuous improvement shapes the advanced dental care she provides at ReNEW Dental
